When students play in ways that are fair, everyone can have fun. Other children that we play with sometimes have different wants or preferences. If we choose to have fun with others rather than to get our own way, it can hep us to have friends. Also, it’s important to notice and have empathy for children who are left our of play. Inviting others to play is the right thing to do. Playing with other students is a way to get to know them better.
If we do have conflicts with other students, we need to remember that we can best resolve conflicts when we calm down and remember the Problem Solving Steps, which are:
S- Say the Problem without blame
T- Think of Solutions that are safe and respectful
E- Explore the Consequences that would happen
P- Pick the best Solution and make a plan
