School Vision and Goals

 All students will graduate from Canyons School District college, career and citizenship ready.

The Sunrise staff recognizes that each student comes to school with unique strengths and needs.  As the staff provides instruction and experiences focused on those needs, students will be better able to achieve success in the future.  Consequently, Sunrise’s mission is to "provide students the skills to create their own future."

Sunrise’s current goals that support the mission are:

2017 - 2018 Continuous School Improvement Goals

  • 73% of 3rd grade students will achieve proficient on SAGE Language Arts (2017 Proficient:  52%)
  • 75% of 4th grade students will achieve proficient on SAGE Language Arts (2017 Proficient:  62%)
  • 78% of 5th grade students will achieve proficient on SAGE Language Arts (2017 Proficient:  71%)
  • 61% of 3rd grade students will achieve proficient on SAGE Mathematics (2017 Proficient:  41%)
  • 75% of 4th grade students will achieve proficient on SAGE Mathematics (2017 Proficient:  80%)
  • 78% of 5th grade students will achieve proficient on SAGE Mathematics (2017 Proficient:  60%)

2017 - 2018 Continuous School Improvement Goals - SALTA

  • 100% of 3rd grade SALTA proficient on SAGE Language Arts (2017 Highly Proficient:  82%)
  • 100% of 4th grade SALTA proficient on SAGE Language Arts (2017 Highly Proficient:  81%)
  • 100% of 5th grade SALTA proficient on SAGE Language Arts (2017 Highly Proficient:  70%)
  • 100% of 3rd grade SALTA proficient on SAGE Mathematics (2017 Highly Proficient:  95%)
  • 100% of 4th grade SALTA proficient on SAGE Mathematics (2017 Highly Proficient:  95%)
  • 100% of 5th grade SALTA proficient on SAGE Mathematics (2017 Highly Proficient:  91%)

  • 100% of teachers will the use effective feedback practices, 4:1 and 2 feedback cycles in formal ipops, in the instructional setting to provide timely and descriptive feedback that will promote quality student work and increase engagement.
