Parent Volunteers Needed

We are looking for parents that would be willing to sign up to be volunteers to cover lunch recess duty if we are in need of some help. The hours are from 11 am-1:10 pm, so you would need to be available during those hours. If we have enough people sign up, you may only get called once, if at all! If you are interested in lending a hand, please email Andee at andrea.crismon@canyonsdistrict.org and she’ll check for your volunteer application get you added to our list! THANK YOU! <3

Parking Lot Safety

Parents, when entering and exiting our pick up/parking lot areas please follow the correct flow of traffic and do not block entrances, exits or parking stalls. On the east side of the school be especially careful to keep plenty of space for our bus to enter the parking lot from the street.

PTA Parking Spot

In our front parking lot, there is a parking stall that has been set aside for the Martinez family. They are the lucky bidders from last years PTA fundraiser. CONGRATULATIONS!

NOVA for 5th Graders

Last Thursday was the first day for the NOVA program for our 5th graders. We are very lucky to have our school Sandy City Officer Zackrison here to teach these classes. NOVA stands for “Nurturing youth to seek out positive Opportunities, internalize good Values, and to accept Accountability for their choices in life.” This program was created in March of 2003 by officers from the Orem Police Department in Utah. NO SCHOOL- Labor Day

As a reminder we do not have school on Monday September 5th in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy a long weekend with your family!

Parent Square- SIGN UP!

Parent square is a new format of parent communication that Canyons School District has implemented this year. Our school will start using this as our primary form of communication within the next few weeks. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to sign up! Parent Square will use email, text and app notifications and it automatically generates an account for each parent using their preferred email address and phone number. Once you set up an account you can download the app on your phone and you will be able to update your preferences on how and when you are notified. Canyons School District has set up a web page to help you get started and can help you to troubleshoot any problems that may arise in setting up this new program in your household.
