Book Blitz Meetings

We are having a great time reading and discussing books in Book Blitz. The dates for the February Book Blitz meetings are Monday, February 6th and Monday, February 27th, 3:00 – 3:40 pm. Happy Reading!

Sunrise Singers

Our Sunrise Singers are gearing up to start practicing again in February. Students who participated already during this school year will be notified by email when those rehearsals will begin.

Do you have a student who would like to join? Please print out the attached form, fill it out and bring it into the office. Please be sure to write clearly so contact information can be added correctly. We look forward to hearing our eagles singing again!

Teacher of the Year

Thank you to all those who have submitted a teacher of the year nomination. The nomination window closes at 5pm on February 6th. These nomination forms will be sent to Dr. Wilkinson and then be reviewed by the School Community Council chair, the PTA/PTSA President, and an Education Support Professional representative. This group will select the school’s winner.

6th Grade Orientation

This week our 5th grade students will be going to the middle schools for a 6th grade orientation. Our two feeder schools, Indian Hills & Midvale Middle, will also be hosting parent nights for you and your students to attend. Please see the attached flyers for details on those events.

Safety Reminder

Parents, please have conversations with your students about how to properly cross the street. Include looking both ways before walking and to never dart out from the sidewalk. We want to ensure ALL of our students make it home safely every day.

Missing Ring

It was brought to our attention that a ring was lost while on school property. It has great sentimental value to the owner so we are reaching out to our community. If you or someone you know found a ring on our property will you please contact the office? We would really appreciate it, Thank you.

PT Conference Sign Up

Parent teacher conferences are coming up on March 1-2nd. The scheduling window to choose your students conference will open to parents on February 13th and will close on February 28th at 5pm. The times fill up fast so we encourage parents, especially those with multiple students, to get in and sign up early! We will send out instructions on how to do this as it gets closer.

It’s also a good idea to note that we will have an early out day on Thursday March 2nd and students will be released at 1:15 pm.

Friday March 3rd will be a no school day.
