SCC Business:

• Call the meeting to order

• (2026-2027) Positive Behavior Plan
  • We use this to help fund our school counselor, who is our specialist
  • Learning opportunities/activities: Morning meetings, thrive time, Digital Citizenship, Small groups lead by SEL, Restorative practice implementations, PBIS/rewards, Parent resources, calming room, Botvin
  • Programs: PBIS school, character ed., red ribbon, white ribbon, nova, safeUT.
• (2026-2027) Safe Walking Route Plan
  • Routes are not changing from last year
  • Arrows in the parking lot, drive under 10 mph. The right lane is for picking up, the left lane is for driving away.
  • When available, students will use sidewalks; there are 3.
  • Staff and safety patrol are out before and after school to help.
  • Safety concerns: doors, parking lot, crosswalks, and snow removal
  • Report concerns and approve concerns in October.
  • The catwalk gate to the field is open, can we get it closed maybe by custodial or by safety patrol? 
  • Top concerns: 
    • Possible merge signs so that all cars are exiting from the left lane, not the right lane
    • The corner of NE school sidewalk is pretty bumpy, kids are following when they are walking their wheels, can we get this replaced?

    • PBIS Store: $2,000 (School store prizes for students)
    • Field Trips: $3,000 (total cost for trips last year was $9,716.35) May not need this full amount since a buffer was created in other funds.
