Halloween Information

Monday October 31st will be our Halloween parade / parties. Please see the previous post on the website homepage with a map and more detailed information.

Parents, please keep in mind that the parade is being held early in the morning and temperatures are likely still going to be in the 40’s. Please be sure to bundle up under those costumes or wear a coat over the top!

Book Blitz

Canyons School District has started a new program called Book Blitz Jr. This is an optional reading program for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and it is designed to encourage students to read a variety of literature. Students should read at least 6 books from a list of 12 books by March 1, 2023. Then they will form teams of 3-5 members and participate in a “Jeopardy-style” competition to demonstrate their knowledge of the books. 4th and 5th graders are combined and read the same books and 3rd graders have a separate list of 12 books. We will have meetings after school on select Mondays from November – March to help students prepare for the competition. Look for a flyer coming home with your student. Fill out the bottom portion and return it to the school by November 4th. We are really excited for this new program and it should be lots of fun!

After School Reminder

Parents, after the dismissal bell at 2:55 pm, students are asked to leave the school / property. Students are NOT to be on campus after school hours unless they are part of a program. Students should not be on playgrounds etc. after school hours without an adult present. Thanks!

Parking Lot Tip

Bus access on the east parking lot entry needs to be addressed. Please leave space at the entrance there for the bus to turn in. Cars cannot park next to the curb as it meets the street. Please help our wonderful bus driver and keep that area, as well as street access, for her to turn in. We appreciate your help!

Lost and found is FILLING UP! If you are missing any items, please go and check this area! It is just outside of cafeteria on the wall. Thanks!
