Book Blitz- Meeting Schedule

The following dates are the meeting schedule for Book Blitz:

Dec 5th – Book Discussion

January 9th- Book Discussion

January 23rd- Book Discussion

February 6th- Book Discussion

Tuesday February 21st- Book Discussion

February 27th- Book Discussion

March 6th- Practice Competition

March 13th- Practice Competition

March 20th- Practice Competition

March 24-28- School wide competition (the exact date is not set as of yet). Meetings are held in the gym after school from 3-3:40 pm. Students will exit through front office. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Lindsay – zeepingree@gmail.com

Thanksgiving Recess

This Wednesday-Friday November 23-25th we do not have school. Please enjoy time with family and friends in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday!

SALTA Results

Thanks to those who participated in this year’s SALTA testing last week. Results from the testing will not be available from the district until the new year. Parents will be notified of their students results by email. Questions? Please reach out to the instructional Supports Department at Canyons District at 801-826-5045. Thanks!

ESP Day

Last Wednesday November 16th was Education Support Professionals Day and we’d like to celebrate and thank our 23 ESP employees here at Sunrise. They work with our students in classrooms, our cafeteria, office staff as well as our custodial staff, nurses and IT staff. The school could not function without their help! We hope you’ll join us is thanking them for all they do! We have AMAZING employees!

Attendance Reminder

If your student is out due to illness or other reasons, please call the office at 801-826-9550 and choose the attendance line option. Leave a message with your student’s name (spell out the last name) and include the reason for absence. If they are out for a doctor/dentist/orthodontist visit, grab a note from their office and bring it in, and the absence will be excused. As a reminder, you can check all of your student’s attendance in Skyward Family Access. Thank you!

Safety Reminder

Cold temperatures have arrived and our parking lot and blacktop around the school can be slippery. Please be careful and watch for ice. If you see an area that needs attention, please report it to the office staff.
