Book Blitz – TODAY

Our final practice before the school competition will be today, Monday, March 20th from 3:00-3:40 pm. The competition will be held on Monday, March 27th from 3:00-4:00 pm. That will be our last Book Blitz meeting for the year. We’ve had a blast reading together!

Learning Environment Forms Now Available

Attached to our newsletter today is the “Learning Environment Request Form”. This form is for parents who would like to give input on their student’s classroom placement for the 2023-24 school year. It is NOT required but is available to those who would like to fill it out. It is not a guarantee of placement but will be used when creating class lists for the coming school year. Please note, these forms must be handed in to the front office no later than May 10, 2023. Thanks!

Kindergarten Enrollment

Kindergarten enrollment has begun! We have been processing enrollment applications each day and are getting very excited for our upcoming orientation on April 14th. If you haven’t already done so, please submit your incoming kindergarten applications, along with supporting documents, as soon as possible!

Due to the new Utah law, ALL kindergarten students will be placed in one of our 3 all-day kindergarten classes unless we’re notified by a parent that they are opting out of the full-day option. In those cases, parents will need to meet with Dr. Wilkinson prior to assigning them a class.

Parents who had previously signed up for the supplemental program will be refunded by the end of this month. Questions on refunds should be directed to the instructional supports department at Canyons District. Thanks!

Read Across America- Thanks!

We’d like to thank all students who participated in the Read Across America week! Our PTA came in and handed out prizes to over 130 students for completing their challenge! Way to go eagles! Keep reading!

Safety Reminder

Warmer weather means we will be seeing more scooters and bikes on the way to/from school. As a reminder, once students arrive at a crosswalk or while on school property, they are to WALK with their bike or scooter. Students are welcome to use the bike rack area but it is NOT locked during or after school hours, so please make sure to provide your own lock or make sure it is collected immediately after school to avoid loss.

Also, please do not idle your car while waiting in front of the school whenever possible.

Spring Break Reminder

April 3 – 7th is spring break for all of Canyons District schools. All schools will be closed.
