Today- Remote Learning Day
Today, March 6, 2023 is a remote learning day for students. Please refer to communication from teachers on expectations for your students. Teachers will be available to answer questions from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. Please reach out to them via email or contact the office.
Spring Picture Day
Spring picture day is this week on Wednesday March 8th. These are optional photos and only students who have purchased online or are bringing in payment will have their photo taken. Please make sure to communicate well with your student and/or teacher that your student is getting a picture taken. Flyers went home with students and a digital copy is attached to this newsletter.
Read Across America Week
Next week (March 6-10), we will be celebrating reading for Read Across America Day 2023.
Prove you’re smarter than a dinosaur by READING.
Complete the reading challenge (attached to this newsletter) by March 14th to see how many dinosaurs you can earn (up to 3)! Be sure to have a teacher, parent, or guardian initial when you’ve completed each activity. Show your love for reading by participating in the fun activities!
Flyers about this activity also went home with students last week!
Career Day This Friday- Short Volunteers!
We are very excited to welcome parents to Sunrise this Friday for our Career Day. However, as of Thursday March 2nd we were still short about 5 volunteers! If you are interested in participating, please go to the following link to apply:

They will accept volunteers through March 6th.
Save the Date- Kindergarten Orientation
We are VERY excited to announce that our 2023-24 kindergarten orientation will be held on April 14th. More details to come, but please get that date on your calendar!
Safety Reminder
As a reminder, when you are in the drop off lane in the morning, please have your student exit as soon as you reach the sidewalk. Do not wait to go all the way forward by the front doors before having students exit the vehicle. As soon as you are next to the sidewalk, and have come to a complete stop, have your students exit the vehicle and head to their grade level meeting area. This significantly helps to keep traffic moving. Thanks!
