  1. Call meeting to order

  1. Approval of November Minutes

 

Principals Report:

  1. Final Report for Landtrust/TSSP
  • The information from the reports helps to provide us with goals every year. We look at students who are coming up and making goals around student success. They are looked at throughout the year.
  • As far as social-emotional goals- we are utilizing our wellness room, school counselor and psych, and the new thrive time curriculum to help students.
  1. Safety Drill Report- 100% on all of our drills. Fire drill 10 days into the back to school after winter break.

 

  1. TSSP change in money expenditure approval – switch from school counselor to technology ($15,000)- School Counselor has been covered by a grant. Approved for technology.

 

  1. Cell tower budget approval – using money to help fund the PBIS rewards store ($3,000). Approved.

 

  1. Board Initiative for more teacher planning time- 4 days a week for boosters. Teachers would have 60 minutes Monday through Thursday for planning. One day would be PLC (professional learning communities). Increased release time/school day by 10 minutes.
  • Difficulties for parents who have secondary and elementary students with the 10-minute later times. They will also have to adjust things for buses.
  • It would increase brain booster teacher hours. Increase from 3 days to 4 days.
  • The district will be paying for the extra time needed for recess aides and brain booster teacher increases.

 

  1. January Budgets
    • Cell Tower – $17,751.22 – Living Leader, PBIS store, teacher morale, and holiday teacher stuff, attendance potato heads and costume.
    • Land Trust – $65,476.23 – Teacher, and 4 instructional assistants, purchased iReady and ST Math
    • TSSP – $83,682.02 – BLT sub day, 5 instructional assistants, Math materials purchased (not taken out yet), Reading Plus, 2 MTSS behavioral aids

 

  1. Safe Walking Route – Follow-up
  • Problems discussed after response from Sandy City.
