  • Digital Citizenship and School Safety Report/Discussion
    • Leslie Morris – digital citizenship coordinator present
    • Reviewed video – Canyons district SCC intro short
  • 20 min video available on CSD Website
    • Some Q&A from SCC
    • Council members to review the plan before next meeting

 

 

  • The Living Leader – Approval to move Cell Tower Funds to help with this ($1,565)
    • District position – provides some funds
    • Sunrise focus in addition to social and emotional
    • Kayla Slack and Angela Summons runs the program
    • Teachers really appreciate it – being able to get together,
    • Motion to approve Cell Tower funds use for Living Leader: Hillary

    • Reviewed in detail data
    • Last year’s kindergarten data was behind, this year 1st grade is behind
    • Most concerning is 1st grade data – Giving tier 2 resources for support
    • Behavioral and social emotional support as well

 

  • Safety Report
    • SCC needs to develop school safety report
    • Discussion on top priorities to consider including
    • Council to consider any other safety issues to prioritize

 

  • October Safety Drill Report

 

  • October Budgets

 

    • Cell Tower
    • Land Trust – $90,830.10
    • TSSP – $109,666.42
  • Additional TSSP money was put into field trips
    • SCC okay with this distribution
  • PTA is strapped for funding their activities
  • Motion to approve allocation of TSSP to field trips: Kat

  • Currently we call indoor day at feels like 22 degrees or lower
    • Use Weather Bug app to determine
  • Also have inside recess for air pollution
  • In mornings – red flag to go inside
    • Won’t put that up until 8am
  • Discussion on needs for some students who may not have proper clothing and possibilities for donations
